Rainbow Springs & Kiwi Encounter:
A favourite destination since 1932, Rainbow Springs Kiwi Wildlife Park offers you a chance to get up close and personal with the wonderful unique wildlife of New Zealand.
Paradise ValleyTrout Springs & Wild Life Park:
Explore this superb wildlife park and experience NZ trout, animals and birdlife in a beautiful tranquil native bush setting. For more excitement check out the lion feeding which is held at 2.30pm each day. Nowhere in the world can you get closer to lions than here. Also at certain times there may be lion cubs which are abled to be patted and photographed by visitors.
Wingspan:
Close encounters of the bird kind - Featuring threatend NZ falcons, hawks and owls, this is a unique conservation programme, the only one in NZ.
Ngongataha Trout Hatchery:
Open 8.30am-4.30pm daily. Take a look at the hatcheries and feed the trout, then wander through the beautiful bush walk with trout streams. Free admission (Check with us for details on "Take a Kid Fishing" days held periodically during the year).
Trout Fishing:
Bring your fishing rods and try fishing some of our beautiful lakes and streams for that wonderful rainbow or brown trout. No experience? Don't worry, contact us and we will put you in touch with one of the many professional trout fishing guides.
